Book on special forces and security services promoted



The book "Security services and special forces as the main force in the fight against terrorism" by Marko Jordan Todorovic was presented last night at the Atrium of the Central Military Club. The book was presented by Prof. Milan Mijalkovski, political scientist and author Zoran Stankovic.

 

Marko Jordan Todorovic did not hide that it was hard to gather all the necessary literature, domestic and foreign, but is proud to have succeeded.

 

- When you are researching important topics and areas, such as terrorism, then you are having some problems, particularly in the fight against terrorism, and you learn what is missing in the knowledge present and which segments are missing in the field of counterterrorism of a state. The book highlights an important part - the role and importance of cooperation and special anti-terrorist units of the security services in the fight against terrorism. The essence of this book is intelligence as a key to successful engagement of special anti-terrorism units, said the author.

 

Zoran Stankovic commended the book and the author for analytical and thorough manner approached to the topic, while professor Mijalkovski expressed satisfaction with a book that deals with one of the most pressing problems of modern society, especially in the Balkans.

 

The book "Security services and special forces as a main force in the fight against terrorism", in addition to examples of terrorism in the region and in the world, and includes two glossaries of terms and phrases in English and French, which are in constant use by security-intelligence services and special antiterrorist units.
