Welcome to the 61st International Book Fair in Belgrade!
Odbrana Media Centre is waiting for you at the 61st International Book Fair in Belgrade with more than 500 publications. Out of 25 new titles published between the two fairs, 15 will be specifically presented at the fair promotions.
Traditionally, you are welcome at our booth in Hall 1, where, after each promotion of the book, signing and meeting with authors and editors of the new editions will be arranged.
The interest of public in the books of Odbrana Media Centre during 2016 confirmed the important position and the role of the publishing activities of this house, not only in the defence system, but also on the publishing map of Serbia.
We are especially proud of the success that the following books have achieved:
"1914-2014 – WHY REVISION? Old and new controversies about the causes of the First World War" by Mile Bjelajac, PhD, which was last year translated into Russian language and included as basic literature in the Department of History of the Moscow Lomonosov University;
then "CASE RANKOVIC – From the KOS archives" by Bojan Dimitrijevic, PhD, Svetko Kovac and Irena Popovic Gligorov. In a short time, this book had its second and third edition, and the previous circulations were sold out in record time.
Spurred by marking the great jubilee – the 100th anniversary of the First World War, this year again, we have prepared to make happy the history lovers by capital edition, "FIELD MARSHALS" (four volumes); the book by Miljan Milkic "The Religious Service in the Serbian Army in the First World War"; "Serbian-Greek Diplomatic and Allied Relations (1912-1918)", by organizer Aleksandra Pecinar, PhD, and "Royal Air Force (1912-1945)" by Bojan Dimitrijevic, Milan Micevski and Predrag Miladinovic.
Those who are still searching for answers about how the stealth aircraft F-117A was shot down during the NATO aggression in 1999, can find them in the book by Slavisa Golubovic "The fall of night hawk". The dramatic event in our military history on the pages of the book was recorded like a movie script, and takes readers through every second from the beginning to the end of the event.
We draw attention to the book "Political offenses – assassination and rebellion" by Goran Matic, dedicated to the issues of criminal legal protection of the constitutional order and security of the Republic of Serbia; to the work by Dusan Babac "The Serbs – Russian military commanders from the time of Peter the Great until the October Revolution", but also on the contemporary themes and completely new views on them, given by Milos Jankovic in the book "Public goals of secret societies in the security and criminal projection" and Srecko Djukic in the publication "Era of Russian gas – gas and global security".
