Patron Saint’s Day of Odbrana Media Centre – Holy King Milutin marked
Odbrana Media Centre marked its Patron Saint’s Day, St. King Milutin, today in Belgrade's Central Military Club.Bishop Arsenije of Toplica, vicar bishop of Patriarch Irinej, served the Divine Liturgy in the chapel dedicated to the saint.
In the words after the Divine Liturgy, congratulating the patron saint’s day to the hosts, he spoke about the Life of King Milutin and on this occasion he said that the saint dedicated his life to the fatherland and that most of people know him as a great statesman and a warrior.
- They mostly do not know his other side, which was described by Archbishop Danilo II, who testified the virtues and values of the Holy King, mentioning his humility, contrition and repentant mood, adding that he erected hospitals and temples making every day good deeds for the poor ones.
The ceremony, which, except for the employees in Odbrana Media Centre, was attended by friends of the institution and guests from the public life, was lent solemnity by the performance of the First Belgrade Singing Society.
