In an excellent interpretation of excellent artists, the audience had opportunity to hear popular tunes including Segreto, Ideale, Penso, La Serenata, Baciami and other, mostly romance dominated by love and romanticism, refined taste and the expression of longing and passion.

Francesco Paolo Tosti (1846-1916) has been present in the music world as a composer, conductor and teacher of singing for more than fifty years. He gained the largest part of his musical education in Italy, in his home town of Ortona, and at the Conservatory in Naples. His name is primarily linked to the solo songs whose melody is simple, catchy, it is a reflection of saccharine sentimentality and reveals sighs and tiredness of an era. Tosti’s songs reflect the lightness and expressiveness.

His style, known as the salon music, quickly became a popular style of the "epochs of progress" -Belle Epoque. Tosti’s compositions are conveniently written for voice, encouraging the singer to incorporate into his interpretation elements of opera style. Therefore, many artists who are closely engaged in the professional classical Italian repertoire, perform and record his songs.
