Creative workshop in the Central Military Club gallery



The special exhibition program "Acquisitions of Matica Srpska Gallery2001-2011." On Saturday 26th January 2013 from 11.00 to 13.00, a creative workshops for children entitled “How do we collect art treasures!?” will be held in the Gallery of the Serbian Army, Brace Jugovica 19 in Belgrade,

The workshop is designed for pre-school age children who will have the opportunity to take on an educational and creative way to learn about the artwork of Matica Srpska gallery.

The aim of creative workshops for children is to foster curiosity and creativity, and a positive attitude towards arts, museums and cultural heritage institutions.

The kids will be familiarized with everyone who work in the museum, what art it treasures and how it is collected. Throughout the game, and quiz they will learn what a curator, conserver is, they will learn about what acquisition, collections are, and how to keep art treasures.

In the creative part of the workshop the children will create their own works of art that they will swap. In this way they will learn about the act of giving can create a collection, and how to preserve works of art that make up the cultural heritage.
