Accompanying programme of the Aqusitions of the Matica Srpska gallery
On Wednesday, 6 February 2013 at 17.00 pm, in the Gallery of the Serbian Army, 19 Brace Jugovica Street, within the additional program of the exhibition "Acquisitions of Gallery of Matica Srpska 2001-2011" a discussion with the donors on the topic "The role and importance of donors in the development of Matica Srpska gallery collection."
Academic Dinko David, Mirna Sredovic Djordickovic, Milena jeftci, Niceva Kostic, Marica Radojcic and Zoran Vujicic will speak about the idea to donate works of art to the gallery.
In the period since from 2001 to 2011 the art collection of the Gallery has been enriched with 16 gift collections and 244 individual gifts.
This gesture of donating works of art is of immense importance because as it reflects the awareness of citizens who recognize the role and importance of the Gallery of Matica Srpska as a way to preserve the national cultural heritage.
