So far the exhibition has been seen by some 12,000 people, so it is safe to say that a small yet important step forward has been made towards righting the wrong done to the Field Marshal who was for decades unjustly put aside on the margins of history.

Field Marshal Petar Bojović was an extraordinary person, commander and strategist of the Serbian Army who spent entire 46 years in combat uniform, fighting in six wars, posted as platoon and company commander, commander of battalion, cavalry squadron, brigade, division and the Army and he was also the Chief of Staff of the Supreme Command of the Serbian Army.

Life toughened Field Marshal Bojović and made him an educated, determined and brave leader, patriot and warrior, military writer, interpreter and a family man. All the preserved awards are the evidence of his military virtues, which include 25 national and 16 foreign decorations that make the setup of the exhibition.

There were several speakers at the opening of the exhibition in Pančevo who greeted the guests and spoke about Field Marshal Bojović: Deputy Commander of the 1st Army Brigade, Colonel Velјko Martinović, Radivoje Bojović curator of the National Museum of Čačak who was at the same time the author of the exhibition; Colonel Stevica Karapandžin, Director of the Media Centre “Odbrana” and Nedelјko Tenjović, General Secretary of the President of the Republic of Serbia who officially opened the exhibition.

The atmosphere was rendered even more pleasant by the performances of the actor from theatre Atelje 212 - Miroslav Žužić and the choir of Serbian Church Singing Company from Pančevo under the baton of Vera Carina.

The exhibition is going to be opened until 13th March 2017.
