Evening with Mozart and Beethoven

Stanislav Binicki Artistic Ensemble held the concert dedicated to two great German composers – Mozart and Beethoven in the Central Military Club of the Serbian Armed Forces.

The music evening was opened by Beethoven’s Coriolan Overture, the story about Roman leader whose vanity brought treason and his death justified him during centuries, which made the great Shakespeare interested in.

Then much more light-hearted and gentle Mozart’s Oboe Concerto in C major followed. Brilliantly performed, this piece of the gods favourites looked like a true lyric break with a look through open window to the rich baroque. The soloist Marija Lazic, the member of the orchestra Camerata Serbica and the Opera of the National Theatre in Belgrade rendered her assistance during the travel through classicism.

This concert circle was closed in the way it began – by the work of the most famous Mozart’s student, Ludwig van Beethoven and his Symphony No. 1 in C major.

Drasko Jankovic, the conductor of the children’s choir “Horislavci” and the member of the orchestra of the Opera of the National Theatre in Belgrade, conducted the concert by the secure baton.
