New issue of ODBRANA

The current world order is interim and we can call it "relative unipolarism", because the United States is still a leading force, but its power is not absolute as it was in the last decade of the 20th century. If geopolitical and geoeconomic processes evolve as before, China will take its place. We shall see whether it will reach the level to rule the world as unparalleled power and whether then the "barbarians" will unite against this "central empire". But, if the Islamic world continues to strengthen and act aggressively, it is inevitable that the heterogeneous "rest of the world", somehow forms other global pole, Prof. Milomir Stepić, Principal Research Fellow at the Institute of Political Studies and a lecturer at the Advanced Security and Defence Studies says.

The challenges of the Transportation and Movement Service of the Serbian Armed Forces are the subject of the new issue of our magazine. In the time of general lack of financial resources and the outflow of professional cadre, the service faces a multitude of problems, challenges and difficulties, which it overcomes only thanks to the great experience, enthusiasm, persistence and endurance of its members, at all levels of command.

Brigadier General Željko Ninković, Chief of the Department for General Logistics of the General Staff, in his interview on the occasion of the upcoming holiday of logistic services, claims that their efficiency can be achieved only through modernisation.
