"Evening of Opera Aries" at the Central Military Club
Tonight, at the Central Military Club, the "Evening of Opera Aries" was held. Voices of Jelena Radovanović (soprano), Andrea Marić (soprano), Goran Krneta (bass-baritone) and Marko Đurđević (baritone), accompanied by the piano accompaniment of Dr Milivoje Veljić, echoed in the packed hall.
The concert was opened by Handle’s opera "Messiah", and then the operas "Figaro's wedding", "Barber of Seville", "Bal under masks" caused the ovations of fans of classical music and encouraged the performers to bring the concert to the end with even bigger effort, in a convincing and emotionally strong manner.
The participants in the concert were former students of solo singing at the Academy of Fine Arts and Multimedia in Belgrade, who continued their belle canto postgraduate studies through Opera studio "Pearls of Vocal Music", led by their professor Olivera Grujić Slavić, MA.
The magnificent talents of the already grown opera voices of Jelena Radovanović, Andrea Marić, Marko Đurđević and Goran Krneta came to the fore in arias from Verdi's operas "Aida" and "Simon Boccanegra", then "Faust" by Charles Gounod, Puccini's work "Tosca" and Tchaikovsky's "Jolanti".
The evening dedicated to opera arias was closed by soprano of Jelena Radovanović performing Wagner's "Tannhäuser".
