Monodrama "The King's Road" in the Central Military Club
Tonight, at the Central Military Club, monodrama "The King's Road" has been performed, which is another cultural event by which Odbrana Media Centre presented itself to the public.
Belgraders were able to see the first play in the history of the Serbian theatre that deals with the life of King Peter II, the last Yugoslav and Serbian monarch who, for the sake of historical circumstances, was forced to spend much of his life away from his country and the people. It was by and large an unusual way of life, which ended up where it started – in Serbia.
The text was made according to the memoir prose of the HRH Petar II Karađorđević. The monodrama was directed by Lilijana Ivanović, produced by Šabac Theater and Theater of Irena Kolesar, and under the patronage of the Royal House of the Karađorđević Family.
The role of King Petar the Second was interpreted by actor Vladimir Balašćak.
The monodrama, which has been performed tonight at the Central Military Club, was premiered on 8th December 2016, at the Royal Palace in Belgrade.
