"Veterans from the Thessaloniki Front Talk" performed at the Central Military Club

The drama "Veterans from the Thessaloniki Front Talk" by Antonije Đurić, directed by Cisana Murusidze, in the performance of young actors from the Academy of Arts from Belgrade and Banja Luka, was performed tonight in a crowded hall of the Central Military Club. This is one of the rare performances that, by moving the deepest emotions and returning us to our roots, leaves no one indifferent.

In the seventies of the last century, Đurić collected the testimonies of old warriors in the "Politika Express" newspaper and published the feuilleton in the series "Veterans from the Thessaloniki Front Talk", which was first created by director Ms Murusidze for the first time on the scene of the National Theatre, in 1981.

In the newer version, director Murisidze made a new stage performance, adding in the adaption video inserts as projections in the presentation in which she presented the war proclamation of the Serbian regent Aleksandar Karađorđević of 29th July 1914, as well as his order of 6th July 1925.

The audience had the opportunity to see in the Central Military Club a glimpse into the dramaturgy and video of the declaration to the Montenegrins, by King Nikola Petrović, who ordered that the Serbian army should not be allowed to be attacked from the side, then a video record of Major Gavrilović's speech and lot of other historical tone documentation.

The play "Veterans from the Thessaloniki Front Talk" was performed on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the First World War in the production of the Academy of Art of the Republic of Srpska and the Academy of Art from Belgrade, under the auspices of the presidents of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, and performed with Patriarchal blessing of Patriarch of Serbia Irinej.
