Promotion of the book "Wisdom and Sword – philosophers on the secrets of peace and war"
In the atrium of the Festive Hall of the Serbian Armed Forces today, the book "Wisdom and Sword – philosophers on the secrets of peace and war" by Professor Ilija Kajtez was presented.Speaking about the book which analyses the problem of peace and war from the perspective of the chronological development of philosophical thought from the dawn of human society to the modern era, the reviewers, professors Vladimir Cvetkovic and Miroslav Mladenovic pointed out that it collects the professorial experience of the author with the most profound philosophical thoughts.
The century behind us, as the reviewers agreed, is recorded as the century of destruction, wars and victims, and it is therefore necessary to explore the past to perceive the dimensions and characteristics of war as the classic phenomenon in the new century. It is important, they concluded, because war and peace are characteristic of one phenomenon – a man.
