Concert "Our Children"
In the traditional concert entitled "Our children", children whose parents are employed or retired members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, accompanied by the Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence "Stanislav Binički", performed tonight at the Central Military Club. Ana Stanic, opera singer Oliver Njego and this year’s representatives of the Republic of Serbia in the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo, the "My 3" group, consisting of Sara Jovanovic, Mirna Radulovic and Nevena Bozovic, supported the young talents with their performance.
The concert was attended by Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces Ljubisa Dikovic with members of the Collegium, members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, persons from public and cultural life of the capital, and of course the parents and relatives of children who participated in the programme.
After the introductory instrumental of the Art Ensemble "Stanislav Binički" and the Percy Faith’s "Rhythm of the Rain", the honour to open the musical event tonight was given to Marija Vjestic. She has already won awards at national and international festivals, and tonight she has sung the legendary song: "Wine and Guitars."
There followed a piano duo Jelena Stevanovic (16) and Nevena Uletilovic (17) who, accompanied by the orchestra, performed Piacola’s "Tango Paris."
Milica Zugic is 18-year-old concert master of the Philharmonic Youth, and tonight she has cheered up the guest in the Central Military Club with Mendelssohn's violin concerto.
Occupation of the seventeen-year-old Tijana Radovic, as she says, will be music, and accompanied by a symphony orchestra she performed Mozart's "Andante in C major" for flute.
Ten-year old Marko Velickovic from New Belgrade is a student of music school "Stanislav Binički", he attends the second grade of playing piano, and has already won awards. She says that he loves the piano the most – right after the Messi. He has played tonight Jilok’s composition "Phantom Rider".
Ana Stanic was the first guest of this year's concert "Our Children". Accompanied by the orchestra "Stanislav Binički" and cheering by the audience she sang the song “Can’t take my eyes ".
There followed performance of Anastasia Zogovic and Andjelija Momcilovic who were among the youngest participants in the concert, and the audience was also greeted by the celebrated opera doyen Oliver Njego singing the song of Dragan Stojnic "Adagio".
After that, the scene was taken by sisters Nevena and Jovana Milovanovic, born in Krusevac, Belgrade resident Jelena Selenic, and young pianist Ksenia Komazec and Magdalena Neskovic.
Ten-year-old Una Ganic performed Giuliani’s "Place for Guitar", and after that, twelve-year-old Anja Risimic demonstrated his skills with the guitar has and with the song "Capriccio guitar."
Five year old Milica Miletic, the youngest participant this year's show, has sang tonight the song "As children grow" under the watchful eye of the mother, who plays the violin in the orchestra "Stanislav Binički".
There followed the composition of a nine-year-old Masa Vukovic from Kraljevo who, accompanied by the musical ensemble, performed “Sweet dreams”. Sanja Vasiljković presented herself with the "French song" at the piano, Nikoleta Gluscevic with “Romance”on the violin, and multi-talented Jovana Mrdak from Belgrade, who has chosen this night to present her singing skill besides all the talents she has, concluded everything with a song of Jelena Tomasevic "Oceans".
After Natasa Arandjelovic who warmed up the audience with great vocal abilities, the time has come for the performance of Sara, Mirna and Nevena. "My 3" performed a song "Ajde Jano, mori", thanking the organizers of the concert for the opportunity to be surrounded with great and talented young performers in whose performances they enjoyed tonight.
The concert was closed by performance of fourteen-year-old girl from Kraljevo, Marija Colovic, singing the song "Danube Waves" accompanied by Symphony Orchestra "Stanislav Binički" under the baton of Maestro Pavle Medakovic.
At the end of the concert, all participants were presented with gifts provided by Telekom Serbia.
