Museum nights in the Central Military Club
In this year, on the tenth anniversary of the Museum Night, visitors of the Central Military Club will have a unique opportunity to look at the gallery representative exhibition "100 works from the collection Djuro Popovic" in which there are more than 1,000 exhibits. It comprises eighty-nine paintings and eleven sculptures including the works of Konstantin Danilo, Djura Jaksic, Stevan Todorovic, Nikola Aleksic, Jovan Popovic, Djordje Trifunovic, Uros Predic, Stevan Aleksic, Danica Jovanovic, Beta Vukanovic, Krsto Hegedusic Voja Stanic Zivorad Nastasijevic Mica Popovic Miodrag Protic, M. Srbinovic, Pedja Milosavljevic, Matija Vukovic Sreten Stojanovic, Antonije Augustincic, Jovan Soldatovic and other masters of the modern Serbian and Yugoslav art, most of which have not been exhibited.
The choice, for the occasion, was made by Nikola Kusovac, an art historian who is the author of the exhibition.
The main curiosity in the Museum Night in the Central Military Club is certainly the masterpiece of our great poet and painter Djura Jaksic "Beheading of Saint John the Baptist" from 1855 , which will be exhibited in the Atrium of the Central Club. The Belgrade audience will have a chance to see it in its full glory and to have a special look at the process of its restoration.
The salon in the Club this year will be re-opened to visitors in the Museum Night.where the so called "the salon of engravings" of exceptional artistic value is very interestng. The salons visitors will be able to see the new permanent exhibition of artworks from the collection of the Serbian Army, which has generally not exposed.
The rogram in the Great Gallery of the Serbian Army will be made richer by the performances of chamber composition of the Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence "Stanislav Binicki" (at 20:00, 21:00, 22:00 and 23:00).
Rich Media publishing center "defense" this time will be displayed to visitors in the lobby of the Army and publications and souvenirs from the insignia of the Army of Serbia will be available at popular prices.
