Promotion of the monograph of Milovan Bogavac in the Central Military Club
The monograph "Higher Serbian high school in Kosovska Mitrovica, 1941 - 1944" by Milovan J. Bogavac, is presented tonight at the Atrium of the Serbian Central Military Club The ceremony, organized in collaboration with the Media Center "Odbrana", is a book of exceptional importance for the Serbian general history, because it is about the only Serbian high school in Kosovo during the German occupation. The speakers were Dr. Rados Ljusic reviewer Ridjanin Ratko Markovic, writer, Milica Lilic Jeftimijevic, literary critic, and author.
Thanking everyone who helped in the publication and promotion of the monograph, Milan Bogavac noted that he had invested a lot in research, in order to shed light on years of high school in Kosovska Mitrovica, which are never read, and in which she played an important and patriotic role.
- It was the only Serbian high school open during the occupation. When you look at what is happening today, you will easily see that this school is again the only city high school in Kosovo. History repeats itself, and that is what motivated me to write a book presented to you- Bogavac said, and pointed out that in this way tried to repay memories of school days spent in the educational institution.
- This book, Professor Bogavac begins with a silent history of this school. Not only was the history of the school hidden but, the whole history of Kosovo and Metohija in the war in 1941 up in 1945 had been a mystery. I learned more grandfather who recounted what the villagers had used to tell of what was happening at those time in Kosovo, than what I learned in college. We are to blame for hiding and not revealing the truth for one another and for the failure to disclose, because no one has the right to ignore the history of his people-said Rados Ljusic speaking about the book, and said that would only remark that he has had, and it is perhaps too much of the documented text against the author, now retired, realizing the importance attached documents and works of Milovan Bogavac.
Emphasizing the atmosphere that Bogavac brings in his monograph writer Ratko Mitrovic stressed impartiality, which is painted the work, citing a large number of facts, thus depicting the time about which he wrote.
- This book speaks in documents. It can rely on, and because of that, and we call it the parable of the past and the present, for it to credibly reflects everything with which the Serbian nation faces today - Markovic said.
Literary critic Milica Lilic indicated the most important moments in the biography of the author, pointing out that the book by Milovan Bogavac was a wonderful way to repay his town and the school he had attended.
