Promotion of the monograph "Military intelligence service in Serbia"
Monograph "Military intelligence service in Serbia”, by Svetko Kovac and Irena Popovic Grigorov will be presented to the public on 21 June at 14h in the main hall of the Central Military Club.
The book has been conceptualized so it can give readers the opportunity to see historical development of security services, its scope and competencies, mechanisms of control and other issues of importance for this service.
This monograph is not only an expression the Military Intelligence Agency’s desire to depict the history of the service but also to present the problems it had dealt with in the worst times for Serbia while also opening the doors to the public and to the possibility to reveal some of its best kept secrets.
The background of the events, especially those great events is made of those obscure witnesses and it is these witnesses that make the book even more interesting such as the story about the attempt of the Germany’s service to lay their hands on the data regarding the Serbian fighter plane IK-3 Service or the story of the destiny of a king’s officer.
Special value can be seen in the fact that for the first time great operations are revealed that were conducted in order for the secret service to intercept the activity of foreign services as well as to oppose the possibility of threats from Albanian terrorists.
The reviewer of the book dr. Bojan Dimitrijevic and authors will be speaking about the book.
