Concert of the wind orchestra from Maribor
The Wind Orchestra of Maribor Music and Ballet conservatorium performed tonight in the Central Military Club.The repertoire featured works of Gilingama, Spark and Marinkovic with soloists Nezha Prosenjak, Lovro Sadek and Martin Belic under the baton of Damian Kolaric.
The wind band was established in1964 , and it has 67 musicians, students and teachers of the Maribor high school of art.
According to conductor Damian Kolaric, has so far made many appearances in European countries, where it won many awards in numerous festivals their biggest success being gold medals at competitions in the Netherlands, Italy, and Germany.This is the third performance of the Wind Orchestra from Maribor in Serbia where besides Belgrade it also performed in Zrenjanin. The concert was organized under the auspices of the Embassy of Republic of Slovenia in Belgrade the organizer being Music School "Kosta Manojlovic" from Zemun.
