"Iraqi Culture Week" in the Central Military Club
Within the "Iraqi Culture Week" tonight at the Ceremonial Hall of the Central Military Club, exhibition of the works of the famous Iraqi female painter Jakin al- Dulaimi has been opened. The exhibition is accompanied by a joint performance of lute player Mustafa Zayer and the Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence "Stanislav Binicki" under the baton of Pavle Medakovic and Head of the Iraqi Symphony Orchestra Maestro Ali Khassaf.
Tonight's programme, which was attended by Iraqi Ambassador Falah Abdulhasan Abdulsada, is part of the event organized by the Embassy of Iraq for the fourth time with the desire to present to the Serbian public the wealth of artistic creativity of that Middle Eastern country.
On 4th October in the Central Military Club of the Serbian Armed Forces, the lute player Zayer will have a solo concert while on 3rd October in the new building of the Yugoslav Film Archive a short Iraq films will be shown.
The "Iraqi Culture Week" includes also traditional games, exhibitions of paintings and photographs and handicraft, and during 2013, 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belgrade and Baghdad is to be marked.
