Humanitarian concert 'Christmas in old and new songs"



In the ceremonial hall of the Army of Serbia tonight 's concert " Christmas in old and new songs was held tonight" The reason for this singing , but also humanitarian performance , is the International Day of choral singing , which is celebrated every year during the second week of December . And all proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Union of the Blind of Serbia.

"I want you to enjoy Christmas music from several countries , as well as to thank the Ministry of Defence and the Army for this wonderful place and the generous logistical support ," as Roman Waschuk , Canadian Ambassador to Serbia said in his opening addres, then himself joined the chorus. Members of the choir " Belgrade International singers " are mostly foreigners working in international organizations , including the addition of ambassadors of Canada and his wife Oksana Smerecuk , president of the International Women's Club of Belgrade .

In the first part of the concert, Urban Mixed Choir of the Cultural Centre " Vuk Karadzic" from Loznica , who performed four Serbian songs . Then the choir came on stage " Belgrade International Singer" and with tunes from Poland, Spain , USA, Germany , Wales and England , brought in the international festive spirit of Christmas.

The choir was conducted by Beti An Greman , piano accompaniment was provided by Milica Sekulic , with soloists Rebecca Brink and Marija Jejić .
