Christmas oratorium in the Central Club
On the occasion of the upcoming holiday season , evening the choir and orchestra "Orfelin " from Novi Sad, in the Conference Hall of the Central Club " Christmas Oratorio " by Johann Sebastian Bach was performed. Bach wrote the composition for performance in church services in Leipzig 1734 and in 1735. year. A little less than three centuries later, the music still officially marked some new beginnings.
" Orfelin " performed the first three cantatas, which were written for the three days of Christmas : the birth of Christ ,announcement of Christ’s birth to Shepherds , and the visit of the Magi. With the choir and soloists have performed - soprano Radoslav Vorgić - Žuržovan , mezzosporan Ivana Srbljan , tenor Tibor Hevesy , bass Goran Juric and Irina Arsenijevic , a child's voice . the concert was conducted by Tamara Adam Petijević .
The concert was organized by Music Youth of Novi Sad , under the auspices of Ministry of Culture and Public Information APV and the National Association of the German minority in Serbia .
Vocal studio " Orfelin " was established in 2009 in Novi Sad , in order to gather good musicians through the work of the thematic programs of vocal and instrumental music . Concerts are held on the occasion of Christmas , Easter and significant anniversaries .
