The book "Gavrilo Princip - Enigma of of Serbian-Austrian Spy Battles" presented
The book “Gavrilo Princip – Enigma of Serbian-Austrian Spy Battles” by Milan Mijalkovski, PhD, and Dusko Tomic, PhD was presented today, at the Atrium of the Central Military Club of Serbia. The promotion wass organized by the Union of Serbian warrior's descendants 1912 – 1920 – Belgrade City Council. The book was presented and commented on by the authors and the Union’s representative Pavle Lucic.
He said that, respecting the deeds of those before us, “we respect ourselves, we give meaning to what is today and what will be tomorrow, and we turn the work of each one of us on preserving the historical truth of the Serbian people into mutual respect, and achieve a singular goal of just historical facts, in order for the following generations to live in freedom, peace, respecting and understanding of differences, for a better life of everyone on this planet”.
The authors stressed that the book is rich in facts, those before and after the Sarajevo assassination, dates and maps, that help the reader find and perceive a bigger picture of the events in 1914. Also, they
express a realistic and neutral stance on the Sarajevo assassination that happened a hundred years ago, analyzing the dominant approaches and their limits by offering the critical approach as a possible frame for solving the enigma.
The manuscript is presented in four methodologically and substantially balanced wholes, presented in the following thematic parts. The first part is related to the explosion of the national-liberation resistance of members of Young Bosnia. The second one deals with the enigmatic assassination subjects, while the third part is based on the spy-subversion aggressions of the Habsburg Monarchy against the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. Lastly, the fourth part presents a mysterious spy battle.
