The following program of the exhibition "Danica Jovanovic (1886-1914)"
At the Grand Gallery of the Central Military Club, on Saturday, in the course of the exhibition “Danica Jovanovic (1886-1914)”, a following program was held. Aside from enjoying Danica’s paintings, visitors had the opportunity to learn something more about the painter’s life and work, and about the creation of the exhibition.Expert guidance “The exhibition dedicated to Danica Jovanovic as a challenge” was held by Jasmina Jaksic Subic, curator of the exhibition. She demystified the role of curators in the creation process of an exhibition, from the starting idea to its realization and the moment when the exhibition shines in front of the visitors.
“The conception of a setup changes, because the exhibition is dictated by various conditions and obstacles along the way. Every curator of every museum faces the same challenges”, Jasmina Jaksic Subic explained.In the course of the following program, the youngest visitors participated in a children’s creative workshop “Truly hardworking while drawing”, where they had the chance to express their painting skills and try imitating Danica Jovanovic’s still life.
