Concert held by the mixed choir "Saint Knez Lazar"

At the Gala Hall of the Central Military Club, a concert was held today by the mixed choir “Saint Knez Lazar” from Krusevac. The Choir has been active for 23 years, and was founded with the blessing of Patriarch Irinej of Serbia.

At the beginning of the evening, head protoiereus Dragi Veskovac, the Secretary of the Eparchy of Krusevac, addressed the audience. He thanked the Central Military Club for opening its doors to them, and to Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic, for his constant and dedicated support.

- In the end, I would like to thank all of you for coming here tonight. I am also using the opportunity to invite you to Krusevac, and hear us at our own church – protoiereus Veskovac said.

The choir was conducted by Katarina Bozic, and the audience had the opportunity to enjoy the compositions “Tebe Boga molim”, “Vaskrsnji antifoni”, “Skazi mi Gospodi”, “Pokajnicka molitva”, and others. For the end, they left the cheerful melody “Rum, dum, dum” composed by Suplevski.

The ceremonial air of the clerical music was elevated even more by solo performances by tenor priest Aleksandar Nikolic, baritones Djordje Tomic and Milos Zaric and sopranos Lidija Jevremovic and Biljana Vasiljevic.
