Follow-up program of the exhibition “Seven Artists: Parallels between Fine Arts and Tapestry”
Setup of the exhibition “Seven Artists: Parallels between fine arts and tapestry” at the Gallery of the Central Military Club will be enriched by follow-up programs each Wednesday and Saturday.
On Saturday, September 27, a documentary film “One generation’s work at the Gift Collection of Rajko Mamuzic in Novi Sad”, edited by Budimir Budimac, was aired. These are artists of similar generations - Bosko Petrovic, Stevan Maksimovic, Mladen Srbinovic, Stojan Celic, Dragutin Cigarcic, Jovan Soldatovic and Edo Murtic, painters and sculptors who ventured into tapestry. Their works represent crossing points that initiated the idea of the exhibition as an attempt at understanding the similarities and differences between tapestry and fine arts.
At each exhibition that comes from Novi Sad, volunteers are also present, ready to add value to the experience of the art work by their explanation. Visitors were led through the exhibition today by volunteer Katarina Kragovic who spoke about the life and work of the artists.
The next follow-up program is scheduled on Wednesday, October 1, at 18.00, when Ana Rakic, author of the exhibition, and Goranka Vukadinovic will present the exhibition with a video presentation and lecture.
