Follow-up program to the exhibition “Seven Artists: Parallels between Fine Arts and Tapestry”

Each Wednesday and Saturday, in the course of exhibition “Seven artists: Parallels between fine arts and tapestry” at the Small and Grand Gallery of the Central Military Club, visitors have the opportunity to learn more about the exhibition by participating in follow-up programs.

Today, they had the opportunity to watch the documentary film ‘Atelje 61”. It was Atelje 61 where seven artists gathered with the same goal (Bosko Petrovic, Stevan Maksimovic, Mladen Srbinovic, Stojan Celic, Dragutin Cigarcic, Jovan Soldatovic and Edo Murtic) – to make a little art experiment, to intertwine the string of fine arts into tapestry. The workshop was founded in 1961, and today it represents a unique and prestigious institution in Serbia for art tapestry.

Aside from the documentary film, visitors learned something more about the tapestries from volunteer Ljiljana Radojevic, student at the History of Arts, who gave them an expert guidance through the exhibition.

The next follow-up program is scheduled for Wednesday, October 8 at 18.00, when the authors of the exhibition – Ana Rakic and Gordanka Vukadinovic will talk about the setup from the author’s point of view, so visitors will learn about the process of the creation of the exhibition.
