Award given to a photojournalist of Odbrana Media Center




Photojournalist at the Odbrana Media Center Goran Stankovic won the second place at the prestigious 19th International reportage and media festival – INTERFER Golden NIKE 2014 in Apatin, in the photo reportage category. Odbrana Media Center journalist Sanja Andjelkovic also achieved a significant success, with her reportage “On the roof of Sumadija” having been enlisted in the official selection of top 12 journalist reportages.

Stankovic received the award for his reportage titled “Rescue from the blizzard”, composed of several photographs taken during the snow storms in Serbia in early 2014.

180 works from Serbia and abroad had been submitted to this year’s festival, which competed in five categories – television, radio, journalist, photo and socially responsible reportage.

By the jury’s decision, the Grand Prize of the INTERFERA 2014 was awarded to Zoran Saponjic (Kurir) for his “Old pap’s tears” reportage and a series of photographs from Krupanj during the recent floods. The yearly award for reportage work was given to Jovan Memedovic, journalist at RTS, author of the show “Completely naturally” Yearly award for research journalism “Slaven Kranjc” was given to the show “Insider” (TV B92), while the award for contribution to the genre of travelogue reportage was given to Slobodan Micic for his series of travelogue reportages “The world at hand”.

Photojournalist at Tanjug Srdjan Ilic won first place in the photojournalism category, journalist at PRVA TV Dejan Jelovac won in television reportage category, Aleksandra Babic (Radio Krusevac) was awarded for radio reportage, and journalist at Vecernje novosti Milena Markovic won in journalism reportage category. In the category of socially responsible reportage, first place was won by journalist Mladen Mijatovic (RTV Pink).

For almost two decades, INTERFER Festival has presented a unique media gathering in the country and the world dedicated to the journalist genre – reportage. This year, for the first time, the festival was held in two cities, Apatin and Sombor.
