Promotion of the book "Physical Therapy" at MMA
Promotion of the book “Physical Therapy” by a group of authors from the Clinic for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of the Military Medical Academy with Colonel Prof. Aleksandar Djurovic, MD as the Editor-in-Chief was held today at the Amphitheatre of MMA.
The book was presented by Head of the MMA Clinic for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the book’s Editor Colonel Djurovic, Head of the Publishing Activity of Odbrana Media Center Dragana Markovic, first class cadet of the MMA Medical Faculty Natasa Petkovic, one of the authors Doc. Zorica Brdareski, MD and reviewers Prof. Ivona Stankovic, MD and Prof. Aleksandra Mikov, MD.
The promotion was enriched with a musical program by Oliver Sabo and Milica Sekulic, and the host of program was Marina Kostic, speech therapist at the MMA Clinic for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dragana Markovic stressed that the textbook is a product of team work and told the audience about how the book was created and about the path along which a manuscript becomes a book.
- We tried with all our creative potential to make it easily readable, understandable and with a clean design, and likeable, which is equally important. The quality of “Physical Therapy” textbook will be assessed by those who will learn from it – the book’s editor said.
Cadet Natasa Petkovic spoke on behalf of the readers, because the book is intended for students and is a contribution to education and medical treatment, and reviewers Prof. Stankovic and Prof. Mikov stressed that the book is also intended for professors, doctors, specialists and patients. One of the authors, Dr. Brdareski stressed that the textbook is simple and inspiring and that it puts a man into the center of attention.
With messages to cadets, inspired by verses, Editor-in-Chief of the book Prof. Djordjevic thanked everyone and said that the creation of the book had been pondered on for years, and that first steps were made in 2010.
“Physical Therapy” contains 357 pages, with over 100 photos, and it is divided in three chapters – GENERAL, Therapy and the Special Section. The book is intended for students of medicine, primarily cadets at the MMA Medical Faculty, and it has three goals – to educate, incite and attract.
