Humanitarian concert "Srbce sings to God" held at the Central Military Club of Serbia
Tonight, at the Gala Hall of the Central Military Club of Serbia, the tenth jubilee concert of the Society of Friends of Serbian Monasteries “Circle of Studenica” was held. The concert was humanitarian in character, and all revenue will be used for the completion of construction of the monastery residence of the Monastery of the Holy Trinity in Bijele Vode near Ljubovija.
On behalf of the organizers of the concert, the host of the program was Ljiljana Jovanovic, and the guests were also addressed by Milenko Bodin, President of the “Circle of Studenica” Society and the monastery abbot Fr. Serafim. Since many had not been to the monastery before or had not heard anything about it, Fr. Serafim spoke about his “house” – from the moment he had first come there, until today.
The evening was appropriately opened with the anthem Boze Pravde and prayer Our Father. After that, the audience had the opportunity to listen to Vranic Choir, children’s choir Srbce, two songs performed by the band Pirg, Dragana Mirkovic and her band, verses by Nada Anicic Crljenica and Ivana Zigon and Kosovski Bozuri.
“We hope that you have had a nice evening, filled with joy and peace. This is what we want for you to take back to your homes: the blessing of the Monastery of the Holy Trinity, peace and joy”, Ljiljana Jovanovic wished the audience at the end, for these are the values with which we should say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new one.
