Presentation of the book "Multipurpose Combat Aircraft"
This year the Air Force is celebrating one hundred years of existence. In honour of that jubilee, Odbrana Media Centre presents several publications dealing with aviation at the 57th International Book Fair. On today's promotion the visitors could obtain information about the multi-purpose combat aircraft, which is also the title of the book by Lieutenant Colonel Slavisa Vlacic. The book was presented by the author, reviewer Dejan Beda and Editor Slavica Djeric Magazinovic.
Multi-purpose combat aircraft are new impressive category of aircraft that changed the perception of the concepts of air power. They are equipped for the successful execution of fighter, bomber, assault and reconnaissance tasks, and the book presents them in a number of colour pictures, tables and charts.
"I see this book as something that fills gaps in professional publishing related to aviation. Everything I've learned over the past years I shared with readers", the author said, referring primarily to the younger generations and his students, since he is also the Head of the Department of Aviation at the Military Academy.
"This book is primarily intended for those who love aviation, and are not able to deal with it. The book contains a lot of data and tells stories that cannot be found on the forums. In addition, it is equally valuable for the professionals", one of the professionals, Dejan Beda, pilot on MiG 29 and Deputy Commander of 101st Aviation Fighter Squadron, reveals about the value of the book being pleased that Lieutenant Vlacic honoured him to be a reviewer of his book.
