Concert "Dial M for Music" held at the Central Military Club of Serbia
Tonight, at the Gala Hall of the Central Military Club of Serbia, the Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence Stanislav Binicki held a concert of classical music in association with the Collegium Artisticum Association. Toying with the title of a movie by Alfred Hitchcock, and the names of composers and solo performers that contain the letter M, they titled the concert “Dial M for Music”.
The audience enjoyed piano compositions by Mozart, Mendelssohn and young Belgrade composer Marko Maric, so the repertoire included by W. A. Mozart, Piano Concerto in D major, K.175; by F. Mendelssohn, Piano Concerto No. 1 in G minor (op. 25), and the premiere performance of the composition “Snovidjenje”, master thesis of Marko Maric at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, and the composition was announced as a concept of dreamlike images that switch and intertwine suddenly and dramatically.
Alongside the orchestra, performances were also given by virtuoso soloists – a pianist and harpsichordist Dusan Toroman, a pianist, répétiteur and professor at Musical School Kosta Manojlovic Milena Males and a pianist and composer of the youngest generation Marko Maric. Pavle Medakovic was the conductor for the evening.
This is the first of the line of concerts of classical music that the Ensemble will hold during the year, with the goal of affirming national values and young artists.
