Concert "The Meeting" at the Central Military Club of Serbia
Last night, at the Ceremonial Hall of the Central Military Club, a concert titled “The Meeting” was held by the Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence Stanislav Binicki. This is only one in the line of concerts that this orchestra has prepared for the devoted audience to enjoy classical music.
The concert was opened with the Overture to The Marriage of Figaro by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Then, Nenad Ninkovic, trumpet soloist, entered the stage. Nenad has been a permanent member of the Art Ensemble since 2001, and he is the first trumpet today. Together with his colleagues, he performed Concerto for trumpet and orchestra by Alexander Grigori Arutiunian.
After him, Dusica Blazenovic, violin, joined the ensemble. Dusica has a rich artistic career behind her: she has been a member of various orchestras, performed at numerous festivals, received awards, and currently she is at her finishing year of her Art.D. at the Faculty of Musical Arts in Belgrade. Last night, she performed the Concerto for violin and orchestra by one of the most renowned Finnish composers Jean Sibelius.
They all played under the conductor’s baton of Ana Zorana Brajovic, Director of the Opera of the National Theater in Belgrade.
