The picture of Dusan Jevtovic donated to the Central Military Club



Marking the end of a retrospective exhibition of paintings, "Life is a celebration," by naive artist Dusan Jevtovic, the Jevtovic family donated today, in gratitude, a picture to the Gallery of the Serbian Army.

On that occasion, the descendants of the famous painter pointed out that in addition that the exhibition was visited by many fans and admirers of naive art, the more important thing is that the artist himself wanted to exhibit his works one day here.

Thanks to the valuable gift that will certainly have an important place in the holdings of the Gallery, director of the Media Center "Odbrana" LtCol Slavoljub Markovic said that the exhibition, which is a kind of homage to the anniversary of the death of the artist, was one of the most visited and expressed the hope that the successful cooperation will continue.

Dusan Jevtovic exhibited at the exhibitions in the country and featured in exhibitions. His works are in many museums and galleries, and private collections at home and abroad. He has been published in all national and international encyclopedia of naive art. He has received numerous national and international awards. He died on 6 October 2011 in Belgrade.
