Exhibition “Poetics and fate of the 20th century” in Sombor



The exhibition “Poetics and fate of the 20th century” from the Collection of the Central Military Club of Serbia will be opened in Laza Kostic Cultural Center in Sombor on 29th April at 19.00.

The audience will have the opportunity to see 40 previously rarely displayed paintings by artists such as Vlah Bukovac, Jovan Bijelic, Ljuba Babic, Lazar Vujaklija, Petar Lubarda, Pedja Milosavljevic, Miodrag B Protic, Sreten Stojanovic, Marin Tartalja, Aleksandar Tomasevic, Kosta Hakman, Krsta Hegedusic, Marko Celebonovic, Sava Sumanovic, and others.

The Collection of the Central Military Club of Serbia mostly consists of gifts from artists who have had exhibitions at the Gallery of this institution for decades. It includes valuable works created during 20th century, including the period immediately after the Second World War, whose analysis can reveal the development of fine arts in the territory of former Yugoslavia.
