Public company "Official Gazette" and Odbrana Media Centre presented today in the Central Military Club the book "Information Bureau and Yugoslav (National) Army." The authors of this collection of documents are Milan Terzic, Mihajlo Basara and Dmitar Tasic. At the promotion, speeches on the content and importance of the work were held by Prof. Dr. Ljubodrag Dimic, corresponding member of SANU Prof. Dr. Milan Ristovic, Gordana Milosavljevic Stojanovic, the editor and authors: Dr. Mihajlo Basara and Dr. Milan Terzic.

The conflict between Yugoslavia and Information Bureau never ceased to arouse the interest of scientific, technical, political and wider public. As the archival sources have long been inaccessible, many aspects have remained unknown to this day. Insight into the build of the Military Archive has opened opportunities for a broader study of this subject. The publication of this collection of documents is the best contribution to this idea because it allows the reader to single-handedly form an idea on the topic and draw conclusions on the times, events and people as was said at the promotion.

In order to facilitate consideration of the main lines of research, the authors divided the material into four thematic sections in which the documents are provided in chronological sequence. The first part "The Party between Tito and Stalin" covers the work of the Party in the army and its engagement during the conflict with the countries of IB. The second part "The situation in the border region - neither peace nor war" consists of documents that testify on the direct contact in which radiated all intransigence and sharpness of the conflict, with the exception of martyrdom in Yugoslav gulags. The third, most comprehensive part, "Defence preparations" includes 104 documents from the meetings of the highest state and military leaders, while in the fourth part "Challenges of normalization of relations" documents on the activities of the Party in the army prevail.

In the book Information Bureau and the YNA, 156 original documents are collected which are preceded by a valuable introduction to the study in which the authors point out the key points of the Yugoslav conflict with the countries of IB and further represent the importance of the documents thus facilitating further reading.
