Promotion of mail stamps on occcasion of 100 years of Serbian air force



In the foyer of the House of the army the promotion of commemorative postage stamps and envelopes published to mark 100 years of Serbian military aviation was held today. It is a philatelic issue of the Serbian Post, yet another event which the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces celebrate the Great Jubilee of military aviation in our country.

Opening the meeting, the Chief of Staff Air Force Col. Dejan Joksimovic expressed his gratitude on behalf of the Air Force Post Serbia because they recognized the importance of this anniversary, a reminder of its importance in a wider context.

According to Deputy Director General Milos Miscevic, the Post of Serbia has been following significant dates, since they always tried to mark these dates with special editions, which spawned the idea to join the celebration of life and military aviation.

Author of conceptual-art solutions in this issue stamps in honor of the anniversary of military aviation Serbia's Boban Savic painter, designer of stamp for the Post of Serbia. Six stamps show aircraft that the domestic aviation industry in a characteristic way reflecting the century-old tradition of military aviation in Serbia - bubble "Serbian" and planes Fizir FN, Rogozarski IK-3, Ikarus S-49, Orao and Soko and Lasta 95 .

The free sale of stamps edition of "One Hundred Years of Serbian military aviation" will be held from 24 December.
