Exhibition "Winter" opened at the Small Gallery of the Central Military Club
Traditional December exhibition of the Art Group of the Military Academy titled "Winter" was opened today at the Small Gallery of the Central Military Club. The exhibition, whose free theme is - winter, consists of 44 works by 32 authors that used the watercolour, gouache, tempera, acrylic and oil painting techniques.
Opening the exhibition, which will be open until 12 December, academic painter Goran Ostojic Vid said that the Art Group "of the Army" after the war had included many famous artists, including Djordje Andrejevic Kun.
- The exhibition is very important because it testifies to the continuity and preserves the identity of the group that, in a specific way, combines culture and defence of the country, which can also be done with education and culture, and the group has done so since 1947 - Ostojic Vid said, adding that the exhibition "Winter" also has a very specific interaction with the audience, which is a unique quality.
At the exhibition opening, the song "Arise, Serbia" was performed by "Serbian melod" Ljuba Manasijevic, and Secretary of the Art Group of the Military Academy Ljiljana Nedeljkovic especially thanked the Ministry of Defence and Odbrana Media Centre for help in the realization.
The Army Art Group has existed for 68 years and regularly wins first and second place at competitions of art groups. Artists happily donate their works, and this year the works from the exhibition "went to" the Military Academy.
