Film "Circle of Serbian Sisters"
At the atrium of the Central Military Club today, in the accompanying program of the exhibition "Nadezda Petrovic, the 100th anniversary of the right to eternal memory", the documentary film "Circle of Serbian Sisters" was shown, which had been recorded in 2009 as part of the documentary program of Radio Television of Serbia and Radio Television Vojvodina.
The film was made on the basis of archival film and documentary materials, and it represents in detail the work of this humanitarian society, whose first secretary was precisely Nadezda Petrovic. In the hall of Kolarac on 15 August 1903, she organized a gathering, which was attended by several thousand women. "It was the biggest rally of women among the Serbs," says the narrator in the documentary.
The exhibition in the Great Gallery of the Central Military Club can be seen until 24 December. If you want to learn something more about life, art and social engagement of Nadezda Petrovic, you can attend the expert guidance on Tuesdays from 17:30 and on Saturdays from 13:00. Also, every Friday from 17.30 expert connoisseurs of artistic opus of Nadezda Petrovic will introduce the interested audience to various aspects of the painter's work.
