Promotion of works of the Association of veterans of military intelligence services of Serbia held

At the atrium of the Central Military Club today, two editions of the Association of veterans of military intelligence services of Serbia - "Method of more efficient assessment of combat situation" by Prof. Dr Vladimir Sepec and "Serbian-English glossary of intelligence and security" by Dragan Djukic were presented.

The book was presented by retired Lieutenant General Prof. Dr Branko Krga, retired Colonel Prof. Dr Zoran Krsmanovic, Ambassador and retired Colonel Tomislav Djurin, Colonel Prof. Dr Milan Opacic and the authors.

Professor Krga said that the publication of the book had taken plenty of effort and "used up nerves." Therefore, first of all, he congratulated the authors Sepec and Djukic.

- "Method of more efficient assessment of combat situation" can certainly be used in all technical situations of the military, but because of these qualities it can also be interesting to a wider readership. Likewise, "Serbian-English glossary of intelligence and security", except members of the service, other parts of the system of defence and security, as well as military and civilian educational institutions, may also attract the rest of the audience. Both publications should be an incentive for the rest of us to accept similar obligations, and write something of our own, because much should be recorded for future generations, said the retired General.

Speaking about the book by Professor Sepec, Professor Krsmanovic said that it was a "theoretical and empirical research of an issue significant for the theory of military science and practice of military and police activities in the field of military and security sciences in general", and in his address to the audience, the author spoke about the motives, goals, reasons and willingness to write this important work.

That the "Serbian-English glossary of intelligence and security" is a work highly needed for all who communicate with foreigners, as well as for cooperation and communication of services, said Ambassador and retired Colonel Tomislav Djurin. Professor Opacic believes that this work was an extremely difficult and demanding endeavour of the author and advised him to write another, additional issue.

Dragan Djukic said that he was primarily motivated by "his own linguistic tripping" to write the glossary, and the desire to show all the elements of the intelligence cycle.
