Inspections as organizations and inspectors as individuals in their work are primarily guided by the principle of preventive action and provision of assistance to the controlled entities. This does not exclude taking other measures, including criminal, misdemeanour and disciplinary sanctions prescribed by the law. The Defence Inspectorate does not sanction possible failures in the work and actions of individuals. This is to be decided by competent commanding officers, investigative and judicial authorities, Major General Goran Radovanovic, Director of the Defence Inspectorate says.
