In the Ceremonial Hall of the Central Military Club today, a documentary film "Prilep contrasts" has been premiered. The film script and direction were signed by Milos Meljanac, president of the association "Od stecaka do krajputasa” (From medieval tombstones to roadside tombstones) which is the organizer of today's event.
The film is complementary to the homonymous book by Milos Meljanac, issued within the edition of the publishing house "Prometheus" - "Serbia 1914-1918", which was declared as the publishing project of the year 2014 at the International Book Fair in Belgrade.
Premiere screening of the film was preceded by speeches of Zoran Kolundzija (director of the "Prometheus publishing" house), a prominent historian Mile Bjelajac, PhD, (Director of the Institute for Recent History of Serbia) and musical performance by a cantor Ljubomir Ljuba Manasijevic.
According to the book readers and viewers of the film "Prilep contrasts", Milos Meljanac’s extensive research represents a significant contribution to the preservation of memory and promotion of attitude of the descendants to the Serbian compatriots in the territory of Macedonia during the Balkan wars and the First World War.
In that regard, Ljubomir Markovic, President of the Association of the descendants of Serbian warriors from 1912 to 1920, awarded a commemorative medal to the author of the film on the occasion of the First World War.
