Concert "Music of the Slovene soul" held in the Conference Hall of the Central Military Club



In the Conference Hall of the Central Military Club tonight, the concert "Music of the Slovene soul" has been performed by the "Stanislav Binički" Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence and a soloist on the piano Nenad Ivovic.
 
The programme included the compositions by two Slovene composers: Piano Concerto No. 2 by Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff and "From the New World" symphony by Czech composer Antonín Dvořák. At the end of the evening, Nenad Ivovic played encore dedicated to Professor Nevena Popovic, who led him on the path of his success.
 
Nenad Ivovic is a successful young pianist. He plays piano from his age of five, and as early as at his age of twenty he completed basic studies of piano at the Faculty of Music Art. As a student he showed exceptional talent and has won numerous first prizes at competitions, and one of the biggest successes was the semi-finals of the competition "Jeunesse musicale" in March 2014.
 
Tonight's concert is one in a series of regular concerts from the cycle entitled "We have chosen for you", that "Binicki" ensemble organizes for the classical music lovers.
