Concert of the Mixed Choir of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces "Christ is risen!"
On the eve of the upcoming Christian holiday, the Mixed Choir of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces held its first full-length concert last night entitled “Christ is risen!" in the Ceremonial Hall of the Central Military Club. The concert was attended by State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Nenad Neric, representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, as well as numerous lovers of musical creativity.
Under the conductor’s baton of Katarina Bozic, spiritual compositions of domestic and foreign authors alternated, including "I Sing to Thee", "Our Father", "The Body of Christ" and "Easter antiphons", complemented by the solo performances by soprano Radmila Vladetic Ivanisevic and Biljana Vasiljevic Mitrovic, alts of Dina Travica and Bojana Panevska, tenor Vanja Bisercic, baritone of Captain Milos Zaric and Svetozar Vujic and bass of Milos Gasic.
A special feature of the concert was the performance of the Children's choir of the church of "St. Basil of Ostrog"
Mixed Choir of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces was established on 1st February 2016 and it exists under the artistic patronage of the "Stanislav Binički" Artistic Ensemble within the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Defence. The Choir, which performs a wide repertoire of national, international and spiritual themes, is conducted by Katarina Bozic.
