Requiem for Madzgalj in the Central Military Club
Charity Concert "Requiem for Madžgalj", in honour of the recently deceased Serbian actor was held in the Central Military Club in Belgrade.
The organisers of the event, the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Defence and Marinko’s longtime friend Tamara Nikezic, a Belgrade opera soloist, will present the money raised from the ticket sales to the actor's family for raising the monument.
At the well-attended concert, , besides Tamara Nikezic, renown performers Beti Djordjevic, Natasa Tasic, Ana Petrovic, Visnja Radoslav, Nevena Pavlovic, Ljubodrag Begovic, Dragoljub Bajic, Ranko Jovic and others presented themselves to the audience performing opera arias and popular compositions, accompanied by the "Binički" ensemble.
In the audience, alongside the actor's immediate family members, there were representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, as well as guests from cultural and public life, Marinko’s fellow actors, including Ognjen Amidzic, Nada Macankovic, Iva Strljic, Marko Kon, Sasa Joksimovic and others, who sang for the end, Madzgalj’s favourite song "Svadbarski sokak" accompanied by "San" tambour orchestra.
Popular actor Marinko Madzgalj died on 26 March after a long and severe illness.
