Chess Tournament "New Chess Hopes" in the Central Military Club
On Saturday, 11 June 2016, in the Central Military Club, the chess tournament entitled "New Chess Hopes 2016" was held. The event was organized by the Association for the promotion of entrepreneurship "Zivojin Misic" in cooperation with the Military Academy and the Military High School.Chess gathered together children, parents, students of the Military High School, Military Academy cadets, soldiers, officers, retired officers of the Serbian Armed Forces, chess amateurs. Seven tournaments were held: preschoolers, children under 10, children under 14, children under 18, team tournament of the Serbian Armed Forces, team tournament of IT companies and amateurs.
In the team tournament of the Serbian Armed Forces, which bears the name of the famous Serbian Field Marshal Zivojin Misic, the first place went to the Banjica team and the second was the 140th class of the Military Academy, and the third place went to the team of military pensioners. Competitors were also the teams of the 1st Communication Battalion, "Cobra" special units, IT, and two teams of the Military High School.
